We all seem to use many Microsoft products, from Teams to Word. Well, now, Microsoft is releasing a new tool to increase productivity by linking the different products across apps and devices.
There will be a broad, powerful platform for you and your team to move different Microsoft components back and forth across different apps and devices. You will be able to collaborate more easily with the rest of your team.
How to use the Microsoft loop
First, you need to go to the Loop homepage and start a template. Microsoft provides guides and tips for template creation on their mobile app.
You can customize the template to fit your project with different headlines and links. Once you have your template, you can then invite the rest of your team to join your workspace.
What you need to know, once you are on the template, is the three main elements.
Loop components are shared pieces of content. They are synced, so if you work on it, it will update on your colleagues’ devices too. Therefore, you are always working on the most up-to-date version. Components are currently supported on Teams, Outlook, Word for the web, and Whiteboard.
Loop pages start small and can grow. It is a blank canvas where you share your components, be it tasks, content, links or data. All your team can have a bird’s-eye view of the projects and enter the components.
Loop workspaces are where you and your team will see and group everything important to your project. You’ll get an overview of where everyone is on the project, what they are working on, and how they are progressing.
You may need your IT administrator to enable Loop as an app for you to use, if you are on a work system.
Once you have set up your workspace (by clicking the + sign on the Loop homepage) and invited your colleagues, get the online app, Android/iOS app and start working. Over time you can add more pages to your workspace, as your project or team expands or has specific needs.
Loop is intuitive and will come easily to those who are familiar with Microsoft, once the pages have been set up. With Loop, you and your team can reach their full potential. Now it’s time to start experimenting.
