Main data center

The main data center is the primary location for all servers and data.

Within the main data center each piece of hardware and software is replicated to ensure redundancy.

Continuous replication

A high speed dedicated fiber optic connection ensures continuous replication and backups between the main data center and the backup data center.

A secondary backup connection with a different provider is also in place in case the primary connection fails.

Normal mode

During normal operation your main office is connected to the main data center through a dedicated fiber connection or Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Corporate main office

Your office and your staff can be located anywhere.

They remotely log in either through a dedicated fiber connection that runs to your office or through a secure Virtual Private Network from anywhere connected to the internet.

Backup data center

The backup data center is geographically separated from the main data center to ensure business continuity in case of a disaster that takes the main data center off line.

All hardware, software and data is replicated in the backup data center to ensure minimum-to-no loss of critical data or operating time.

Disaster recovery mode

In the event of the main data center or connection going off line, the system will either be automatically or manually switched over to Disaster recovery mode.

In Disaster recovery mode, the connections from the main office and elsewhere will automatically be routed to the backup data center for minimal data and time loss.

Clients from Australasia, the Far- and Middle-East, Europe and the Americas connect to Penta’s global infrastructure through secure dedicated connections and local fiber-connected hubs.   On-site support is ensured by Penta engineers based in offices in Geneva, Dubai and Tokyo, or handled through our trusted international network of always available IT operations centers.

  • Geneva

The Geneva data center is located in the city’s financial district next to Penta’s corporate headquarters ensuring immediate access and proximity to clients for optimal connection speed and reliability.

A 10Gbit dedicated fiber optic connection with the Lausanne data center ensure continuous replication between both sites.

The Lausanne data center is Tier 4 Design certified by the Uptime Institute, one of only three in Switzerland and the only one in the French-speaking part of the country.

A 10Gbit dedicated fiber optic connection with the Geneva data center ensure continuous replication between both sites.

  • Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)

Penta’s data center in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is located immediately beneath the landmark Gate Building in the heart of the DIFC.

It is the only certified data center location within the financial district and provides easy cabling access to all buildings and offices.

It is the only data center in the United Arab Emirates to receive the Uptime Institute Stamp of Approval for Management & Operations certificate.

    International Media Production Zone

The data center is located in the International Media Production Zone and serves as Penta’s secondary site for disaster recovery ssetups and backups.

This data center also has the unique feature of enabling ‘off-shore’ connections that are not reliant on internal UAE connections or restrictions – ideal for cost-effective, reliable and fast hosting in the region.

  • Tokyo

Located in the Shinagawa business district, the Tokyo data center provides low latency connections to the Penta cloud infrastructure and hosting for regional clients.
