How to use Microsoft 365 copilot AI

Microsoft 365 copilot AI can help you with a range of tasks across different Microsoft platforms and applications.

Save time, be creative

By using a copilot in Word, with a few simple prompts it will write a first draft for you and then you can edit it. As you are still in control of the end piece of writing, you are empowered to use your creativity but can save time on the process.

The same is true of powerpoint. A prompt will help your copilot design a beautiful display which you can later edit. You can use copilots to clear your Outlook inbox, increase productivity on Teams meetings and reduce the need for repetitive tasks on various applications.

88% of developers said they were more productive when using copilot, according to a study by GitHub.

You’ll unlock potential. Think about it – how many tools do you use on powerpoint? Maybe you animate a slide or insert a video. But there are thousands of tools available.  If you let a copilot lead the initial design, they can use countless tools to supercharge your display without you ever having to learn how to use them. The same is true for all Microsoft 365 applications.

Get the whole team onboard

Copilots do more than just empower individuals. If you link the copilots to your business data, then it can give you a roadmap for productivity across your company. The information you get in return is routed in content and context – that means, it understands your business content such as blogs, calendars, graphs and so on, in the context of how you work, such as meetings, email conversations.

Make sure you link your copilot in a compliant way, so your data is protected under the relevant laws.

On Microsoft’s website it says: “Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 is compliant with our existing privacy, security, and compliance commitments to Microsoft 365 commercial customers, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and European Union (EU) Data Boundary.”

But it is always incumbent on you to ensure that you follow your jurisdiction’s laws.
