Internet service provider IP-Max’s new Dubai point-of-presence (PoP) is being hosted by private cloud computing supplier Penta. The new joint venture means that IP-Max can now offer local access to its network through Penta’s Dubai data center.
“Our mutual focus on data protection and security means that we can both offer our customers a uniquely secure cloud computing package of hosting and network connectivity,” says Penta CEO Farhad Khalilnia. “The possibility of highly encrypted network connections combined with secure data centers in jurisdictions legally protected from unauthorized intrusions make the Penta and IP-Max offer very interesting to businesses that require verifiable confidentiality.”
Fast Dubai to Europe connections
Penta’s Dubai data center is located in the Dubai International Financial Centre, a federal financial free zone with its own commercial laws specifically tailored to international banking and finance. Penta also has data centers in Geneva, Lausanne, Tokyo and Dubai’s International Media Production Zone.
“As both IP-Max and Penta are Swiss- and Geneva-based companies with expertise in secure IT, the fit makes sense,” says IP-Max joint owner Frederic Gargula. “IP-Max provides low latency secure internet connectivity in nearly a dozen European locations. Penta top-tier is a provider of private cloud hosting services for businesses in regulated industries that require audited data security and confidentiality – and they already have offices and facilities in Dubai.”
IP-Max specializes in high quality and low latency network capacity in Switzerland and beyond, connecting internet exchanges across Europe and now the Middle East. Points-of-presence include Geneva, Zurich, Lausanne, Attinghausen, Lyon, Turin, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Stockholm and Moscow, with connections planned for Vienna and Milan.
