Penta joins the Swiss Business Council in the UAE

The SBC provides a forum for Swiss business executives to identify, discuss, explore and pursue business and social interests in the UAE

We are delighted to announce that Penta has become a Corporate Member of the Swiss Business Council (SBC) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The SBC provides a forum for Swiss business executives and other business executives with Swiss interests to identify, discuss, explore and pursue business and social interests regarding their activities in the UAE market – which is why we felt it was perfect for Penta, as we continue to grow and fortify our business interests in the region.

What is the Swiss Business Council in the UAE?

The SBC is a non-profit organisation that was established in 1996. It is licensed by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and exists to promote  the interests and activities of companies and individuals with connections to both the UAE and Switzerland.

It is overseen by an Executive Committee (ExCom) which is responsible for organising regular events and activities. These include presentations and dialogue with influential local and expatriate speakers; introductions to new Swiss companies in the UAE; and discussions with representatives of the Swiss and UAE governments.

Why is Penta joining up?

The objective of the SBC is to support commercial and personal relations between its members and to promote economic, social and cultural relations between the UAE and Switzerland – which is of obvious benefit to us at Penta.

SBC UAE’s community of professionals and entrepreneurs span the financial, blockchain, digitization, marketing, communication, health, environmental, and Swiss ladies groups.

As a member, Penta will be able to network with industry leaders, gain valuable insights and expand our business horizons.

“The UAE is ultra-modern, both with its architecture and its ambitious business developments, and we saw an opportunity. We saw there was a great level of maturity there with its business ambition but it would need help to make it work.

“Today, we operate three data centres in Dubai and two in Switzerland, with about 150 active clients ranging from two-man businesses up to multinationals. Penta is committed to delivering quality services which are secure and stable but also scalable – giving clients total control of the services they want in a predictable budget so they never over invest or under invest.”
