Switzerland to join European cybersecurity group

Switzerland will join the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO).

Switzerland will join the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) to strengthen the country's defences against hackers and online attacks, the Swiss government has announced.

Earlier this year, Switzerland registered an increase in cyberattacks and spreading of misinformation in the run-up to a summit to create a pathway for peace in Ukraine.

By becoming part of the ESCO, Switzerland will receive information about current cybersecurity threats as well as access to a network of experts to help neutralise and prevent attacks.

The ECSO has over 300 members, including large and small companies, as well as universities, research centres and European governments.

Cyber security is a top priority for businesses today, as cyber threats are increasing and becoming more complex than ever. With the damage of these attacks potentially devastating, companies cannot afford to simply be reactive.
